Alden are proud of their "Platinum" range of satellite systems. This version comes complete with the S.S.C (Satellite Search Control) system, so that your own digibox such as a Sky digi box can be connected to the system.

S.S.C® is a satellite search control system perfectly adapted for locating TV broadcasting satellites in a leisure vehicle. This unique piece of technology makes locating a satellite incredibly quick and easy. The S.S.C.® is installed between the satellite system and your receiver.

Alden is the preferred choice of satellite system for French motorhome converters Rapido and many of their motorhomes are pre-wired for Alden systems, saving you time and disruption on installation.

Being Platinum coloured this may be a defining for the modern motorhome owner who is worried about colour co-ordination. The Platinum range also has a perforated dish similar to those found in a domestic system, to give maximum protection for the equipment and your viewing pleasure in strong winds.

Another interesting feature of Alden dishes is the nylon “shear” bolts.  If you forget to close the dish in strong winds and the speed of the wind is to much for the system to cope with, in extreme cases the shear bolts should give before drastic damage if caused to the main assembly.  Of course for your own protection, like any make of satellite dish, it is advisable to close the dish if strong winds are forecast. When installed the system is connected to an ignition circuit and should retract when the engine is started to avoid the risk of driving off and damaging the dish.
